Steam Holiday Sale Begins [Dec 20, 2010, 4:54 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
The Steam Store now reflects the Steam holiday sale, which will run from now until January 2, offering up to 80% savings on select titles, as well as daily and weekly specials on individual titles and compilations. They are also offering a daily special for those who already own a specific Steam game, kicking things off with an additional 10% off on Portal (which is already 75% off) for those who already own Half-Life 2. Hmmm, I may pick up the Dragon Age Ultimate pack, just to complete my DLC collection. It's about as much in the pack as it would cost me to buy the remaining ones separately.
Anyone know that if you buy a game in a pack that you already own, if you bascially get a key to give away to someone? I don't need two copies of Dragon Age, may give one to a buddy or something. I'm curious how that works.

Definitely going to pick up the Oddboxx. I was always annoyed that Stranger's Wrath never came out for PC. Also, $12 seems like a much more reasonable price than $30.

You can't "officially" give away your key, but if you did just copy your unused Steam key and give it to a friend, they should be able to activate it on their EA accounts thereby making them the legitimate owner of the game in the eyes of EA. That friend could probably register the key on EADM and download the game directly from EA themselves, otherwise he could borrow your disk and install the game or something like that.

Along those same lines, since we can't gift lumps of coal through Steam, I'd say a copy of Rogue Warrior would suffice.
the pricing on the Prince of Persia games is messed up, I'm sure its an error to be corrected. The package is $35 but buying each game individualy comes to $12.50.

Just a note of caution on this to people: last year there were several pricing errors but the actual CC/debit payments weren't processed immediately so people who thought they got a deal on a pricing error ended up paying full price after all. So be careful of buying stuff that's an obvious error because chances are that they will ding you later for it and good luck sorting it out with Steam Support

It depends on the game, and possibly the bundle. It might tell you if you go to buy it, but I'm not sure.
