Out of the Blue

We picked up a big batch of smoked chicken wings to share with some neighbors when they visited last night, and we managed to snag enough that there were still some left over. This lead to me being unable to resist having a few for breakfast this morning. It's a good thing we don't live closer to the BBQ place, or I'd be 600 pounds in no time.

Smoking meat is easy and the results are (usually) tasty if you're patient. I smoked a small turkey for thanksgiving to some good reviews. Patience, wood, and beer are all that it really requires to impress your guests! I started MacGyver style with just a gas grill, a coffee can (no joke) and wood chips from gander mountain and moved on from there (including joining the KCBS). The rewards far outweigh the costs!
