I'm nuts for the Fallout series, so I want to get FONV so bad I can taste it. When I buy, I'm going to get the collector's version, and the Prima guide. However, I've been dealing with some other hobby projects, and an appliance repair, so I haven't spent the money. This is the first AAA title that I've wanted that I didn't buy on the day of release. All this talk about the bugs makes me glad I've waited, and it looks like I may as well wait for this patch. I appreciate the feedback on Blue's that has broken down the real issues, free of spin.

...If you are walking/running when you reload, something happens where you just can't do anything for ~5 seconds except move. You can't shoot or use the PipBoy. There is a mod that fixes this though.
What's the mod called? Cheers.
Reload Bug Fix. That used to drive me crazy because my favorite weapons were all single shell loaders.
I have a gut feeling that "it's not a bug, it's a feature!"
The game references that weapons below a certain point in reliability "jam". I only notice the reloading "bug" when my weapons have degraded to a certain point. I suspect that's their version of jamming guns.

I encountered an issue after upgrading from and AMD to Intel quad core. The game stutters pretty bad and is actually running slower now, its odd. Other then that I have not noticed any bugs.
I'm running a Quad Core, 4GB RAM, and dual GeForce GTX 460s, (not running SLI though, since apparently Civ V doesn't like SLI). I'm also still running XP SP3. Could that be the issue?

I don't know of any weapon besides the sniper rifle in stealth using AP ammo, or the anti-material gun using AP ammo that can kill a radscorp in generally under 2 shots even on normal, unless you've got the 50% crit damage perk + 5% crit chance perk(aka the bloody mess perk).
I know that on Very Hard, it's entirely impossible to kill a Deathclaw in one or two hits. I'm level 22 and I have to take Deathclaws out one at a time, first by crippling their legs so they can't get close to me and then having me + 2 companions shoot him in the head about 50 times.

Flatline wrote on Nov 7, 2010, 19:51:VATs doesn't guesstimate how much health it's going to do damage wise. At least not on the PC, maybe consoles but otherwise no. At most VATS will allow you to target specific areas of a NPC/critter to inflict damage. i.e. shooting them in the head will make it harder for them to hit you, crippling arms, will mean slower attacks and less damage, etc.
Okay I wasn't clear enough then. My apologies.
When you use VATS, it predicts how much damage you're going to do on the overall health bar. It's an average.
For giant radscorpions and deathclaws, that prediction says that I should be killing them with various weapons in one or two shots. Instead, I do almost no damage whatsoever. While I can kill them, I get overloaded at 2-3 of them at once. Obsidian tends to, in certain areas, throw more than five at the same time at you.
I was like level 28 when I discovered this, so it's not exactly like my stats were low. I peeled off from the main quest and went and did a bunch of side stuff, and when I came back I got to the mission where you could talk to the great khans' leaders to sway them to your side. One of the leaders is in a deathclaw filled quarry, and I can't see how someone level 17 or so (where you'd be if you just went through the main quest) could possibly get to the leader chick.
