I take the CTD, bluescreen, other "game won't even run" as things that can PROBABLY be fixed by the end user if they didn't have any number of 3rd party, crappy, illegal, malware, etc etc etc software on their computer.
Well that's the thing, there are practically infinite hardware/software configuration scenarios. I helped some dude on the steampowered forums last week with a different game. He was swearing up and down that it was the games fault and blah blah blah, turns out he was overclocking and not a moderate overclock by any means. It fixes the issue and hes still upset and spouts the classic line "BUT EVERY OTHER GAME IS FINE", still not understanding that overclocking can significantly affect system stability and that not every application uses the CPU on the same performance level.
That's without going into the thousands of idiots using terrible A/V software, old drivers, malware, failing hardware, etc. Point is that I'm sure the game has problems but I'm sure many of the customers also blame problems they don't understand on the game. That's the challenging part of Q/A work, sorting through the bullshit. So while I wish Bethesda could wave a magical wand and fix every single problem with the game, it might take a few fucking days
