The Japanese cannot make good shooters.

Just look at Quantum Theory.

Have you ever seen a 16GB bucket of shit? Then you haven't seen Lost Planet 2! I have never played a more horrible game, and that include extreme paintbrawl!

I do advise getting the free benchmark though. It's funny to watch the guy who's playing it just sit there and get hammered. He's not even trying.

I truly enjoyed the original but this thing is the victim of too many half-baked ideas jammed together.

I just beat this game recently on the 360 with a couple of friends. If and only if you have a good co-op group, it can be pretty fun despite the many bad design decisions throughout. The menus are frustrating, the story is nonsensical, the upgrade system is just plain weird and the friendly AI is completely idiotic. It's virtually impossible to beat the game solo as a result. It's funny that Kenji Inafune has been railing against Japanese developers in the press saying they need to improve their design methods for the west when he Executive Produced this game and it's a textbook example of everything he complains about.

I was advised against buying it for PS3 for even $20. I can't imagine how a fairly solid action romp could take such a dive with its sequel.

Not even a perfect PC version could save this terrible game from being terrible.
