I might actually try out Cataclysm. I really stopped playing when I hit 70 like, 1 week after TBC came out. I was so pissed that my year I had invested(literally, 365+ days played) had just been a waste of time trying to get loot and rep that was instantly outdated. Then I realized that is the only way a game can progress and I tried WOTLK when it came out. Didn't get past 71, I didn't like it.
Looking back, however, it has occured to me that I really did have a lot of fun with my guild(which split and reformed 3 times, lmao), and I built some ridiculously strong online friendships, probably greater than any RL friendships. I look back at archived pages of our guild's website sometimes and I actually get emotional, it was such a huge part of my life.
Good thing I realized FPS were way better.
