No, it isn't simply a "differing opinion," it's the "my moral code tells me it's ok to take what I want from people and that I should be able to give them the value I deem despite that not being how they're offering it."
I see. So I should buy all games at full price, regardless of how much I feel they are worth? If I buy a game during a Steam sale, is that morally unacceptable?
I guess I just find your position so silly because it revolves entirely around semantics. Let's look at the facts:
Consumer A pirates a game and then buys it new when it is available for $30.
Consumer B doesn't pirate a game and then buys it new when it is available for $30.
End result: Publisher and/or developer gets the same amount of money at the same time.
Your moral stance isn't based on the consequences of actions but merely the actions themselves. My moral stance is the complete opposite.
