I expect today and tomorrow to be the last couple of days of disrupted coverage here. Thanks again for your patience. In the meantime, I came across some photos from the QuakeWorld Release Party on September 19, 1996, so I posted them to our Facebook page. There aren't that many of them (ten to be precise), as this was so long ago they were shot on, what do you call it again? Oh yeah, film!

I wish I could look fondly back at those times. But when I really think about it all I did was waste time I could have spent chasing girls or playing guitar (so that I could chase girls more efficiently)....

Funny how the photos look eerily similar to the LAN parties we would host at my place....oh man....beer + nerd stink. We were in heaven. I love in one pic you can see a new pristine mouse.....not being used. The ol 2 handed keyboard games of the past. I love it. There were people who didn't do well holding down shift for run, so we would tape shift down so they didn't have to hold it down! hahahahaha

Reminds me of the "underground movement" feel to gaming back then.
And you girls got first dibs on quake. not jealous ... much
