StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty sold more than a million copies in 24 hours and 1.5 million copies over the first 48 hours of availability, announces Blizzard. They say this makes the real-time strategy sequel the biggest PC game launch of the year, and that this sets a record "for fastest-selling strategy game of all time."

My wife would never let me spend $60.00 on a game.
I wasn't even going to get this game, as I don't really like RTS games, but my wife bought me the CE as a surprise.
I am most of the way through the SP game, and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. (Which I guess isn't hard, considering I didn't think I would like it at all.) I don't have much to compare it to, as the only other RTS games I have played are Warcraft 1 and 3, COH, and, uh, *cough*mumble*cough. (Some RTS that had magic and tech and was set in a desert, I think.)
