Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines VTMB2010

Planet Vampire now offers downloads of VTMB2010 for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, which combines the following mods for the action/RPG: CompMod version 1.4, Clan Quest version 2.0, and Camarilla Edition version 1.3. This simplifies the process of playing those mods, though this will also require first installing the UP7.0 Plus edition of the unofficial version 7.0 patch for the game from The Patches Scrolls. Thanks Acleacius.

One of my favorite single-player RPGs, warts and all. It's not perfect, but the atmosphere, voice acting, dialog, and story options really set it apart.

It looks like I might have to pick this up in a sale some time.

It's not good if the maker didn't have permission. He's not trying to take the credit or anything so it's not too bad but you should still ask before redistributing. Hopefully by the time I play that will be sorted, although by the time I play the sun will probably be going supernova.

What are you talking about? That's probably the funniest way to play through the game.
Rofl, love the way you take that out of context OR did you just read the first half of the sentence?

DON'T play the Malkavian or Nosferatu your first time.
Here try reading this again.

The comments on the forums at Planet Vampire indicate that the guy that put together this uber-mod didn't get the permission of the original mod developers to modify their code. Ugh. Thankfully they're being pretty cool about it.

Amazing work, thanks xatmos! Cake

Bloodlines is one of the best RPG, on everyone's top 10 list somewhere, afaik. Yes it was released in Beta state by the dicks at activision.

The Unofficial Bloodlines patch has done extremely good work fixing the game. There are two patches Basic fixes only the most basic bugs like broken quest and text errors, Plus version tries to balance and finish the intended game.

There are four hubs and one final game, the four hubs are superior RPG gaming. The final end game (only 1/5th of the game), is mostly combat and didn't get to be finished before release.

This mod is NOT for the first time Bloodlines player, if it's your first time get only the Unofficial Patch. My personal preference suggestion is the Plus version even for first time players.

DON'T play the Malkavian or Nosferatu your first time.

Can't speak for the giant mod compilation but with the "bugfix only" version of the latest fan patch it's pretty bug free, easily as good as Deus Ex for the first half, and moderately good for the second half. The voice acting, actual NPC acting (especially in the faces), and the story are fantastic all the way through. It has some serious flaws, just like Deus Ex or Arcanum or something, but it's a very rewarding game. Easily worth playing a couple times, once as anybody except Malkavian and another time as a Malkavian.

Is this any good now? When it came out I heard the first 1/2 was quite good but badly broken and the second half was awful and still badly broken. How it is now?

I picked up Gothic 3 on an Impulse sale and am playing it with the latest community patch. It got a reputation for being quite good but badly broken. With the latest patches, both official and unofficial, I'd have to say it's really good, like Oblivion with a bit less scope and ambition but a bit more personality and heart.

Kudos to them for doing all this work, I just wonder how many people actually play their patches.
