So setinfo name doesn't work anymore? (I can't test since I don't have a fucking GPU right now)

If so, what kind of FUCKING RETARDED fix is that?

Oh good. I was worried they might have finally completed EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE UNIVERSE and were forced to work on the engineer update. Glad to see I was wrong.

It is a minor ballache as an admin it would be easier to just change in the console.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I really don't understand Valve's problem with having a different name in each game or being able to change it on the fly. It's a bit childish to force you to change your Steam Profile every time if you play for more than one clan in ALL your games.

Childish is to complain about something so insignificant.

Have you tried the "offline practice" mode? I did a full round and got 15 items! No idea if it's a bug or just a present for playing the new content. I used them for hat fodder.

The new items aren't really necessary. My demo still uses the standard load out and my soldier only carries the equalizer.

It's not incredibly hard to get the first two unlocks or so with a class if you play in an active server (32 players) and just stick to that class for an hour or two, mindful of the requirements you need for the achievements - you can even turn them on the overlay to show your progress and remind you. No need to cheat on an idle or achievement server. Spend the time getting to know the various classes, or get better at the ones you like the most. The requirements have also gotten a little easier with each class update (even the number of achivements required for the unlocks has decreased).

But don't sweat the unlocks too much in any case. The way the game is designed, almost none of the unlockable weapons are essential, mostly situational. Probably 75% of my loadouts are the standard weapons, despite having almost every alternate weapon. It just adds a little more fun when are able to get them.

I just started playing TF2 again. I'm running into an annoying bug where I can't re-spawn. When it first happened, I was sitting there watching the action, then after a while was wondering how long is the re-spawn timer set to on this server. I noticed I didn't see the timer on the screen, it just said preparing to re-spawn.

Another time I saw the timer count down to zero, then reset and begin counting down again. It would loop over and over forever. I finally discovered I could hit the change class key, select a different class or reselect my current class and then I'd re-spawn. Once it starts doing it, it continues to do it until I change servers.

I haven't played since the last four class updates, so I don't have any of the new items for the demoman, sniper, spy or soldier. I kind of liked the sound of the item drop system at first to get the new weapons rather than slaving to get a bunch of useless achievements to unlock them. I even reset my stats because I didn't think it was fair to count the stats I accumulated when I joined an achievement server to unlock items, and I figured after all this time of not playing I might as well start with fresh stats.

But after 10 hours of play over the last week, I've only received 5 item drops. I got one new item, the bugle thing for the Soldier, and four Natasha's for the heavy, which I already had to begin with. I though I could just craft the items for the other classes, but after looking at how to do that, I don't see how it's possible to craft items for the Spy without actually receiving a Spy's PDA item in the first place to make a PDA slot token.

In a fraction of that time I could have just hopped on an achievement server and unlocked all of the weapons. So if I want to get the four class items unlocked any time soon, it's either go to an achievement server or sit in an idle server to get drops and craft them.
