@Batman
No not straining the neck at all, although I would suggest you have a solid chair with a strong back support as I do.

Got my chair tilted back around 35 degrees, I get lower back problems and so far this is really comfortable.
Will monitor over the next couple of days.

Might give you neck problems as you will be straining forward naturally....

It does make a difference, but I still wouldn't do it again. I think it got up to 117 one day, which felt similar to 95 or 100 here in OK, where we have nasty humidity...

I spent a couple of days/nights at Death Valley during the third week of July a few years back. Hey, if you're going to visit Death Valley, you may as well go and experience it when it's 128 degrees in the shade.

Which begs the question is it "the bird" if you use your ring finger?
I say yes, if the middle finger has erection problems.

That's why the Bay Area is king. Right now, 72, slighty breezy, yesterday was about the same and the day before that. Our actual "indian" summer is in September and October with highs of 85. Winter time it sort of hovers in the 50's and 60's. The earthquakes make this area (northern cal) a beautiful dream world (Point Reyes during the winter is akin to the moors & dales of the UK) and if you live on an actual hill made of natural stuff chances are slim that a large earthquake will rattle your life apart.

What, you didn't hear about this? It was all that was on the news for days, if not 1+ weeks. They even did a Law & Order episode about it, either Criminal Intent or SVU.

I recall eating lunch in the work cafeteria. There are a few plasma TVs streaming CNN and Fox News.

I'm there eating a sandwich and I keep hearing the anchor repeat the words astronaught, diaper, girlfriend, cross-country over and over... just louder than the conversation we're having as a group. I was thinking, well I guess there are different stupid stories going on involving yada-yada-yada.

Finally it hits me: this was all the SAME story. So I started watching the feed and laughed my butt off.

Seriously, what an odd combination of words. And what a crazy story.

I was there once in August, maybe twice.

It *was* hot in the direct sun. But the whole "dry heat" thing made a difference.

Here in NJ this weekend it was over 90, which wouldn't be too bad except it was also humid.

I'd say my comfort level was quite poot compared to the 100+ heat in Vegas when I went.

I was in Vegas once in August, for my first time. I think my second time was either late July or in August again.

It *was* hot in the direct sun. But the whole "dry heat" thing made a difference.

I'd say my comfort level was quite poor compared to what I was feeling in the 100+ heat in Vegas when I went. I'm not saying I wanted to run a marathon in Vegas, but it was alright to walk around from casino to casino.

Besides, in Vegas you can spend a bulk of the day indoors in the casinos or elsewhere. Or you can go to the nice pools and enjoy the perks that come with it.

Then start walking around towards the evening. The place looks great a night with all of the lights and such.

Relish the heat while it lasts, Blue. Because following every hot summer generally comes a brutal winter. That's right, soon it will be...look around, leaves are brown, and the sky, is a hazy shade of winter.

I love this heat. Feels like forever since it's been here.

People can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That's easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked
and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.

After waiting a week and receiving no email response from BFG I called tech support and he says their email department is slammed telling everyone BFG is no longer selling video cards to "the public."

But they he quickly issued a shiny new RMA number! Normally I'd just get a new component when one dies but this one being a $512 purchase and all...

So is that why I am seeing so many cheap Vegas deals right now or is it something else? I don't remember seeing as many in past Summers.

Very very excited. And Inception looks like the movie of the summer, for me.
