Sadly there aren't many people playing online. However there are dedicated servers, and if you join one it usually loads up pretty fast. And the game is extremly fast paced and quite fun. The devs listen to the community and chat with us on the Steam forums (and their blog etc) so there's that too.
Thinking about buying the game... how populated is it? From the videos I've seen it seems it has all the features of a full PC game, from dedicated servers to battle recorder.
Metal Drift is one of the most underrated little indie games out there. Blue I'm so glad you posted this. The game needs more attention from the big dogs in the PC gaming news arena and you fit the bill
