Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II Trailer

The Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II E3 trailer is now available on GameTrailers.com, offering an extended cinematic from the upcoming Star Wars action game sequel. The clip features Darth Vader showing his apprentice just how trustworthy he can be, along with an extended combat sequence that's arguably better filmmaking than any of the prequel movies. Thanks nin. Here's the embedded version.

why oh why were the jedis and sith lords in the movies not using the types of power shown in the video? seems backwards to me. and didnt vader die on the first game? im guessing this is a different story line from the movie series?

Dude, it's called feature creep. In the movies, the Force was nothing but pre-cognition, telekinesis, and lightning. Can't make an eXtremeLOL!! game with just those powers.

Superman couldn't fly in his original appearance either.

KOTOR was good, but never tried KOTOR2 since I heard bad things and lack of free time.

You should pick it up and install it together with the TSL Restored Content Mod: http://bit.ly/aACSNM

It fixes pretty much all the bugs and restores a lot of the content that Obsidian didn't have time to finish for the release.

Thanks. I will check if I ever get free time.

I still don't know why people hated the original. I thought it was a great, polished game. It was the first game I ever got 1000/1000 achievements. The sequel is definitely going to be a day one purchase for me. You'll have to excuse me now, I have to go change my underwear after watching that video.
Well, excessive hype tends to backfire. It was decent I suppose, but I'd say it was a far cry from feeling polished.

That said, if they fix some targeting issues and remove the frustratingly excessive stunlock-potential, they'll have come a long way. Now make the light-saber actually effective rather than the glow-in-the-dark nerfbat of the original, and throw in dismemberment and we're really talking. Actually, your garden-variety storm-troopers should be nothing more than walking medkits that you can effortlessly wade through by the hundreds. This was generally the case in the original as well, except you'd have to slap them 10 times each and they'd bounce around instead of being sliced in half. This really ruined the feel of the game for me.

All Star Wars trailers are awesome. Remember, it's marketing and cutscenes. I never got the game, but did watch the cutscenes online. They were nice.

Now, can we get sequels to X-Wing (Alliance was good too), TIE Fighter, Jedi Academy/Outcast, Dark Forces, etc.? KOTOR was good, but never tried KOTOR2 since I heard bad things and lack of free time.
True enough, the Phantom Menace trailers were quite good.. A shame those 30 seconds of exposition were enough to showcase the full depth (or lack thereof) of the entire trilogy

And yeah, sequels to X-Wing/TIE Fighter would be awesome. But the game I would really kill for is something like Freelancer set in the Star Wars universe. That could've been soooo damn good! Too bad the genre is dead.

Impressive. Most impressive. While I doubt the game will be anywhere near as good as these trailers, it has never the less managed to become a blip on my radar. I did finish the original and "OK" was the best that could ever be said about it, however.. With some of it's flaws in mind, "OK" might even be a bit generous.

Also, I'll echo the sentiment that they should consider making a movie instead of a game. This short piece managed to be miles better than the entire new trilogy. Then again, how Lucas managed to botch that to such a degree is nothing short of mind-boggling. Terrible acting, terrible directing, terrible script. The fall of the republic and Anakin's tragic tale could and should've made for some epic and emotional moments, no.. Darth Maul was the only decent character in the entire trilogy, probably because he didn't have to spout any of Lucas' lousy dialogue.

I'd highly suspect it's another of Vader's cunning plans to use the apprentice without him realising. He wouldn't have left him chained with his lightsabers if they were really planning to kill him.

The Empire has wisely invested in Volume Licensing for their stormtroopers. They pay one modest "site fee" and can have as many stormtroopers as they want in each system.

I actually enjoyed the 1st one. You just had to take it for what it was, an action romp through numerous levels against hundreds of enemies, boss fights, etc. And surprisingly the story even made sense, I wasn't expecting it to. They did a good job of tieing it into Star Wars canon with Starkiller helping give birth to the rebellion, etc.

Sure it wasn't Knights of the Old Rebublic 3....but it wasn't supposed to be.

Your f*cking lightsaber was about as lethal as a whiffle bat. Yes, you could chop normal stormtroopers into kibble, but everything else took like 15 hits from your lightsaber to kill. Which is bullsh*t.

The game was a beat-em-up wearing Jedi robes. The system was clunky and unresponsive. Lucasarts needs to hire Team Ninja to do *just* the combat engine for a 3rd person Jedi game, make the combat graphite-smooth like Ninja Gaiden, and then give it the star wars treatment.

I will agree that the story was halfway decent. I suppose in this sequel Vader created a bunch of clones of Starkiller because... well hell I dunno. Just because.

I will sue LucasArts and George Lucas if this is not released on PC on the grounds of emotional distress, pain and suffering. PC is still king.

Watch the trailer all the way to the end. End credits shows the GfW logo, PC will have it.

The story is flawed. If he was a good student, Vader would have a ton of use for him. Wow ...if it wasn't for the emotion, this trailer would suck.
