Right there with you on 3D. It causes eyestrain enough while watching a movie and they expect us to play a game that has it? No thanks.

Games are actually a much more suitable media for 3D than film.

I won't touch any new interface technology until I see the proof that it is all they'd like us to believe it is.
You want intent to purchase? I want proof that it works.
I think Microsoft's got the right idea with the Natal camera, infrared beams, etc.
I think the idea that it will be perfectly flawless and able to read my motions without issue is completely batshit insane. I think that if anybody were willing to plop the cash for either system without experiencing it first is completely retarded.

Fortunately we know they'll have demonstrations everywhere when they want us to buy it. Neither of these companies is a slouch when it comes to marketing.
Although Sony proves itself to be fucking nuts at times.

I'm eager to see what the future holds, but I'm not paying money for anything until I see what really comes around.

I take great issue with that articles accuracy. Do I believe them to be true? Sure. Only one slight problem though. The survey was done between May 23 and June 5...OF THIS YEAR. Nearly a full year *AFTER* the product announcement. (at least in Natal's case) And that 2000 "gamers" were polled. (probably hard core gamers) Not the Casual market that these technologies are really going after.

And why not do the surveys AFTER this years E3, yes? You know, when there is actual *PUBLIC* publicity over the products? And then ask casual gamers or even non gamers what they think? This is really the people they need to be surveying. Last year at the Natal announce there was a demo on one of the late night shows, and CNN did a small bit I think. But not much else..public wise.

This years coverage (of the E3 demos/announcements)should be more widespread I believe. And Both Microsoft and Sony are going to be advertising to this exact population segment. Not the Halo and W.O.W. freaks lol. (No disrespect intended. Just making a point.)

It's trick logic. Since NATAL = who cares then anything = bigger news.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Natal isn't remotely what it's cracked up to be. But I'll wait and see. Things from last years E3 with Natal were a bit odd, like the machine scanning a kids snowboard on the fly and then using the texture in the game.

I've got a wait and see attitude about everything at E3 lol. Especially with the baseless hype the consoles throw out each year. CG they 'claim' is actual gameplay, only later to reveal the truth, things like Natal with it's super capabilities that are probably very limited in reality, etc.

I wonder if it could be that any currently made 360 game will also work on a Windows 7 PC machine. That would be cool.

I'm completely beyond caring about motion control anymore. At first, I liked it on the Wii, but after having to learn each games motions control scheme, it just got to the point where it became more annoying than fun.

Give me a good old fashioned controller now. I want to just sit back and relax and play a fun game. Someone make a gamecube style controller that works on PS3, please! Best controller ever.
