Strike Delays Bad Company 2 Patch

Planet Battlefield recounts a post from the EA forums explaining that the release of the next patch for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is being held up by a transportation strike in Romania, where their QA team is located. Their brief FAQ on the topic emphasizes that it is not the QA team on strike, just the transport companies that would allow them to get to work. There's no outlook on when the work stoppage might end. Thanks Ant.

the new game mode that isn't even coming to the PC as of now...

Didn't they announce that mode was coming for free last week? And the PC version has had patches before the console versions before. In fact the Steam version has had two patches before everyone else including other PC retail users. So I'm not quite sure what the favoritism argument is for when it seems very misplaced. This patch is taking a long time because it's going to fix up the majority of issues with the game, going by the patch list anyways. It's a reality of the industry that PC Q/A takes longer by default anyways, the sheer number of system configurations involved ensure that alone.
