Guild Wars 2 PvE Details

The Guild Wars 2 Website now offers a "Personal Story Overview," going into detail on one of the three PvE types in ArenaNet's upcoming MMORPG sequel. As the name implies, this represents the instance influenced by the player's individual decisions. Here's a bit: "Players can make multiple characters, choose entirely different answers, and see a completely different personal story - experiencing a different perspective on the epic story as well. In this way, the game is not only more personal, it's also more replayable, ensuring that each time you level a character, you encounter different aspects of Tyria." Thanks Guild Wars 2 Slovenija.

Guild Wars isn't an MMO and that's one of the best features It's very story driven and plays out more like a hybrid of Diablo and Everquest. First game looks quite dated nowadays but I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Cool - that is one thing that always bothered me about "MMO" type games. WOuldn't matter what you were, it was all the same story - was just talking to a hardcore WoW player about this....

It is a MMO - no other way to describe it. Bunches of people in one spot all playing the game. MMO. Quit trying to make everything non MMO cause it isn't WoW.

MMOs are a complete waste of time.

In GW1 it was a problem loosing contact with friends / former partymembers because of different advancement rates through the storyline. Wouldn't that be compounded by having friends branching of on different paths in GW2 ?

I would assume that if that paths are dynamic, it would all work out together?

I don't care what they call it; as long as it doesn't have one of those abhorrent monthly fees, I'll be all over it when it ships.

I just wanted to say that Guild Wars isn't a proper MMO because it's instanced and you cant jump and it has a low level cap. There, now that's out of the way this thread can hopefully proceed without it going the way of ever other Guild Wars discussion on the web.

GW2 looks like it's shaping up nicely, I was going to avoid it after the horrible amount of time the first one sucked up from me, but I'm liking what I hear more and more, I'll probably end up getting it if it's not too grindy.
