StarCraft II Beta Ends in Two Weeks [May 17, 2010, 9:19 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
The Battle.net forums update the StarCraft II: Wings Of Liberty beta schedule, saying testing of Blizzard's real-time strategy sequel will wrap up on May 31, indicating the game is on track for its planned July 27 release (thanks VG247). They do say they plan to bring the beta back online for "a couple of weeks" prior to the game's launch to complete testing, saying they will share more details about this final beta-testing phase "at a later date."

Last I checked they get a few pages worth of threads every day on the SC2 beta forums.
What Blizzard is mainly doing right now is trying to simulate a launch scenario by stress-testing Battle.net for the coming onslaught.

Has the beta improved a lot since end of February 2010? I haven't touched it since then. 
Grrrr, was just getting reeeeeaally good! Oh well, they will let us continue alil bit before it officially hits. I'd also rather have it in it's entirely than just beta so it's good news overall. And yes, it's very SC how you remember it with significant game changes to that original formula for THIS game. It's the original formula perfected so to speak. Honestly, I don't give a crap about other RTS trying to be different because I never play them for more than a week or two. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

It's StarCraft with modern graphics, but it still looks like StarCraft. This is kind of what Fallout 3 would've been like if Bethesda decided to make their game isometric with modern graphics.

It's old school RTS... and I never cared much for the original... so when comparing it to something like CoH, I'll pass.
