I just though I'd check these comments to see if it was an AMD-Intel battle or an Apple jizzfest. I have to say, I expected SOMEONE to start off about AMD 6-core, etc.

Delusions of a $250 dollar share price. Little Eichmann LOL.

For getting actual work done, I don't want a fucking PC. I want a proper shell, X11, emacs, convert, etc. on a machine where you might actually run a Microsoft application as well. That's a Mac. I don't know what's disfunctional about the best of both worlds. Or why it makes you guys gnash your teeth so insanely.

Ah, who am I kidding. The Apple monkeys will still suck Steve Jobs' dick and buy his overpriced shit/toys/miraculous-devices-that-heal-the-world (pick one).

At least there will be the "I-Rack" to store all that gear upon:

apple was never "cool" because apple fans have always been pretentious assholes with an obsession for aesthetics over functionality.. and when the general public wants in on the elitism, suddenly its not so elite anymore

even the stability of OSX has taken a nose dive since the days when they used to say "It just works".. yeh that shit is over

apple machines will stop functioning if the HDD has barely a handful of bad blocks, its pretty ridiculous how sensitive they are

Oh yeah, Jobs has always been a little Eichman with delusions of grandeur. I remember those tales of him snapping on people in the office untill they cry. And simply because they innovated several existing products doesn't make them cool. We've always laughed derisively at Mac people and still do. Woz was cool, but that's it.

I don't think they were ever cool. They are way too restrictive to ever be cool. When they release games that have been out for several years on the PC!? That's never cool.

Anyone else getting hit by the fake Antivirus/Malware scnner that hijacks your browser? It just took over my browser when I hit "Edit" on my post.

when did apple become uncool? when steve jobs came back and decided to buy back the licenses for mac os 7 from mac clones and void all the warranties. apple did not even offer their own warranty and instead tried to sell me a slower less capable power mac. no trade-in. nothing. my power computing powercenter pro mac clone was thousands cheaper than a comparable power mac.

Apple is finding itself increasingly on the defensive against allegations that it has become stodgy, overbearing, mean-spirited, and even uncool.

Apple was always this way. Sure, they put out some decent products and at the same time they've been stodgy, overbearing, mean-spirited, and even uncool. Also they are very authoritarian and extremely paranoid about losing control.
Perpetual debt is slavery.
