Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Details

Ubisoft unveils new details for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, the next installment in the tactical shooter series, talking about the combat experiences the game will offer, when it ships this fall, as well as the co-op and solo campaigns and multiplayer play. They also tout plans for a multiplayer beta, saying the invites will be in the Xbox 360 Splinter Cell Conviction, which will hit North American stores tomorrow, European stores on April 16, and Japan on April 28.

I miss the Tom Clancy games from the Red Storm era...

...you know, the ones that were actually tactical.

the skyrocketing cost of game development for the sake of graphical wow factor is starting to show its ugly head. with a 5 hour game play it seems they cut content in order to maintain eye candy and stay within budget.

Ubisoft is really pushing for at least one of their properties to become the next big seller like CoD:MW. They seem willing to risk f'ing their titles up along the way.

After hearing a reviewer stating that the single player game for Splinter Cell Conviction is just over five hours long... I now know why they are really hyping the beta access codes package in with the discs.

Even with the Co-Op game adding several more hours of game play it's a no sale for me and most of the friends I have spoke with. Sad that under ten hours is now the norm.

You may enjoy any UBI game sequel as long as it has vastly changed from the previous releases in the series.

An exoskeleton enhances the Ghosts’ physical abilities, allowing them to run, leap, slide and kick farther & faster than any soldier on the field today.

I think that said it all. I'll pass...

When you have a third person cover system, a shoulder mounted rocket borrowed from the Predator and stuck on a Crysis suit, I'm not sure you get to call your game 'tactical' anymore.
