I've never ever gotten the browser to show a single server. You can just play a random server by pushing "play now".

Whatever

BTW ever since I read and placed my workstation in the DMZ on my router, I have had nothing but a great experience connecting and browsing the servers.

LOL Surf is the guy who called my directly witnessing a game price in a store as being 'textbook ignorant' statement and he puts himself in DMZ to play a game. I get to shake the hand of irony two days in a row now. Ignorance indeed.
Perpetual debt is slavery.

As a client no ports need to be mapped. I could only see setting your PC to DMZ on the router as helping if it is a crappy router that for some reason is more stable if that is done. The only times I've had issues is when the servers are having issues. Other nights with no problems I've played for 4+ hours straight with no disconnects or issues.

Thanks Verno
I am using ESET Internet Security. I have it set to interactive mode so it asks me every time something tries to connect to the internet or if there is an incoming connection so that way I can manually enable or disable whatever I want. I know ESET is not causing any issues. I gotta look into my router settings then.

It just pises me off when I see a lot of people have 0 issues and I can not even connect to a game to play 1 full match from start to finish.

Your OS has nothing to do with connection issues beyond whatever firewall it's running by default(in your case, Windows Firewall and most games make an exception for themselves and add it to WF during install).

You need to open up the ports the game uses or just enable UPnP on your router. Putting yourself in the DMZ isn't bad per se when it comes to games, in fact it's probably the easiest method but you are risking some potential security issues.

There have simply been a lot of connection related issues with both the individual game servers and the EA master server, so I wouldn't go doing anything drastic just yet. I've had nights where its stable all night and I've had nights where I get kicked from half of the games or the master server dies for an hour. Just wait a bit, launch time will die down.

I DO NOT recommend putting your machine in the DMZ - you are asking for problems.

Well I gotta do something man I can not play this game online at all. I get disconnected from EA servers in every 30 seconds. I know you do not have any issues connecting batman what OS are you running? I have W7x64 maybe that is the problem not sure, but it drives me nuts.

A full refresh takes 20-40 seconds.

No EA disconnects except for extreme cases. Talking maybe once every 30 matches and only now happens between level loads.

So try to place your system in the DMZ and you should have a better time.
