Ubisoft DRM Servers Resume

Ubisoft tweets that their latest server outage was cleared up in the wee hours: "Login servers were partially reestablished at 10pm CET and fully restored at 1am CET. The attack affected only those trying to login."

Maybe ubisoft can offer a que so people wanting to play can wait in line...

Now that would be rich - a queue to play a single player game.
Huh? I'm sorry, I was thinking about cake.

Good thing all those ddos attackers have to sleep during the day.
Scorpio Slasher: ... What about you boy, what do hate?
Marcus: ... Bullies. Tiny d*ck egotists who hurt people for no reason, make people lock their doors at night. People who make general existence worse, people like you.

Nothing to see here...the attack on your television viewing only affected people trying to watch television...

"Login servers were partially reestablished at 10pm CET and fully restored at 1am CET. The attack affected only those trying to login."

So was it the login servers that went down and the servers needed to actually play the game stayed up? I'm confused how this whole system works, sounds like a problem that STO ran into where people couldn't login, instead of calling it a DDoS attack they said too many people were trying to login and so they built this thing called a "que" which gave people a place to wait in order to login rather than crashing the servers.

Maybe ubisoft can offer a que so people wanting to play can wait in line...

And I don't really understand the anger at ubisoft, this DRM idea seemed to be pretty public before the game launched so it's kind of pointless to be mad at them, a toddler could have told you this whole thing was a dumb idea...but you want to pay $50 to find out I suppose you got what you paid for...

I think target was selling the 360 version for $40 this past weekend, and you can get it used for less than that on amazon...so it's not like it's hard to find, but if you want to pay $50 to get this on the PC I don't know why you'd be angry at anyone but yourself...

I've got a mint condition cerberus network code to sell for $15 if you're interested, only been used 1 time! Card is still shiny!

Yeah, it affected "only those trying to login", that is "paying customers trying to play the game they paid for". Almost nothing!

The Ubi guys should burn in hell for this, but hey, look at IW: they kick in the nuts all the PC community and yet millions buy their POS game*?. Shocking and sad at the same time.

* That's, of course, considering that anything that fourzerotwo says is trustworthy, which is asking a lot

"...The attack was caused by those customers trying to login."

Fixed for you there, Ubi.
