Even at 50% off, IL-2 is a better option (especially for only $10.
My Wings of Prey review is going up in a week..the only thing it does better is multiplayer: matchmaking is included in-game and two unique modes (capture the airfield and strike ground targets) are nice.
Everything else is worse off or identical: highly scripted and linear missions, less planes to fly, same physics

There's a demo for it on Steam. I had checked it out, and thought it was pretty cool. Didn't have the money for it at the time, but maybe I'll take advantage of that sale now.

Wings of Prey has 3 limited activations DRM from Starforce. If that is acceptable to you, I've heard from a friend that's it's a lot of fun to play.
