What can I say...
...So far I've progressed into the Alien campaign and tried some of the Predator campaign and it's merely adequate.
The marine campaign had its moments but fell really short of my expectations in terms of story and atmosphere. I never really felt like I had to shit my pants as I did with AvP1 and AvP2 and it reminded me to much of the (first) movie.
The Aliens controls are something which feels less intuitive than that from previous titles and, unless it's given later, I miss the ability to switch between the two viewing modes. Furthermore, what's up with the 'ability' to see humans through walls? Or the ability to see Combat Droids for that matter?
The Predator campaign, from what I've played, seems pretty good though. Nice and violent to boot.
The big issue I had with the Marine campaign is how the Aliens take sooooo much damage. Often times even a direct hit with the Grenade launcher will merely knock them down and they'll still be coming right for you. A well-placed shot from the Scoped rifle usually takes a single shot and as bad ass as the Pulse Rifle is, they really turned it into a pop gun.
This doesn't make me scared or add to the grim atmosphere, it's just annoying and takes away from the experience.
I'll step into Multiplayer eventually, once I finish the game.
At this point, I think it's the weakest of the three titles but I'm only ~50% done on Normal.
