A tweet by Battlefield Bad Company 2 lead designer David Goldfarb that's retweeted by the BFBC2 feed says that even if you stand on your head, they are not adding the ability to go prone in the military shooter sequel: "Fyi we will not add prone based on anything. You can stop asking now. :)"
I think you'd be hard pressed to find people here that haven't been playing for at least that long. Most here are old enough to remember Slipgate and the Software Creations BBS.
I assumed he was trolling once I read the "iIf you have never played the original Battlefield on the PC..." line.
Do you fucking know where you are? Of course he does.
