There was a lot of spray and pray in that video. It was tedious to watch the guy running after people with his trigger mashed. When he settled down to light people up with a couple shots, I thought they died appropriately.

Yeah the game is a blast to play and considering it's still in beta that's good news. DICE has certainly received a lot of feedback about it taking a whole clip to kill, which is true more if you are moving (as you point out) than if you are still. Also consider that soldiers in this fictional future probably wear body armor.

The destructible environs are great. Also the dynamic voice call outs are a nice innovation because they apply to what is happening. Unlike in BF2 where you had to manually do them (which had some advantages).

DICE is to be congratulated. Gets me pumped about BF3.

All that said, there are a lot of outstanding bugs and requested features and I don't think DICE has time to fix since they need to go gold probably next week, unless they delay the PC launch. Maybe that's a good idea.

I agree that if you have good ping and a high framerate that it definitely only takes a few shots to kill someone, however there seem to be hit detection problems in less than optimal situations.

You are one off the lucky ones then, as it has NOTHING to do with skill.....some of my kills take 2 bullets, some take (no better way to say it) more than it should.....

Sniping I find at the current state of the game is lame, unless you have 2 snipers shooting at one guy, as the sniper rifle sucks for it's current range, and it highly ineffective. All one needs is a medic drop near by and it can be impoosible to kill them with 1 sniper round.

Maybe you have a better connection with less lag, less loss, etc etc etc. but the general consensus is that it takes too many shots to kill.

Looked good until I saw that just like Battlefield 2, it takes and entire clip to kill someone at point blank range.

This was one of the biggest problems with BF2 but was over shadowed by hacking.

No one should be able to withstand more than 1-3 bullets at this close of fighting.

Looks bad ass. First video I've seen that wasn't obviously capped from an xbox. I'm in. But, is all the fucking cursing something you can turn off? I'm big on swearing, but I don't need my computer loudly barfing "FUCK" and "SHIT" out every 10 seconds.

What is going on at 8:45 when the chopper flies _through_ the building?

map isn't bad but I'd like to play conquest mode, especially given this ability to essentially squad hop and spawn on any squad member.

will the whole map be accessible in conquest mode?

wish they had picked a better map for the beta.
