On Age of Conan Update 6

The Age of Conan Game Director Interview on IncGamers talks with Craig Morrison about what's going on in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, Funcom's MMORPG. They discuss update 6, the next major content patch for the game, which they also preview in a separate article. Along the way Craig outlines the goal of update 6: "To us this update is primarily about making guild gameplay even more meaningful. We also hope that new players will immediately feel even more welcome, that guilds want to actively recruit and follow up their members. We're also excited about adding a new raid tier and giving our players even more content adventure to go through, and giving them epic experiences such as fighting alongside the barbarian himself."

not in Japan

Not in the UK either. My ISP charges a fiver a month and gives unlimited use like most of the other hardline broadband providers. The only companies I've seen with caps and quotas are for those laptop dongle things.

Hey, if Comcast and the rest get their way, the US will move to quotas too.

Of course. State-granted monopolies are a type of extortion.

If you live in almost any other country, bandwidth caps and quotas are pretty much a given.

Very likely due to no competition, limited choice, state-grated monopolies.

People in the US have it easy. If you live in almost any other country, bandwidth caps and quotas are pretty much a given.

Dude, you said quota. Wow that sucks! I thought people would be trashing the game, not their ball-tasting ISP. Things are looking up.

After a long time, I thought I might try giving this a go again.

Put in the retail dvds, installed, downloaded a couple 500mg patches, thought I should be up and running soon. Then it starts on another patch... 1.95gig.

No thanks. It doesn't matter how much content they've added, I just don't have that kind of quota available to get back into this.
