I loved AVP2 just as much as 1, but I didn't like the Predator story side in AVP2. The graphics weren't suitable for the Predator's world. It just looked awkward. But the marine and alien side was a lot of fun. AVP1 had badass multi that I'll never forget on my 56k modem days with AOL, lol. I'll just say bring on AVP once again!
Anyone know the difference between the PC version and Console version when it comes to MP? I do really hope that Rebellion take time to make the PC version a proper one.
AvP 2 definitely made use of a wider range of color than the first.
For me, AvP = better MP (although the SP for it's time was more than competent; I still fondly remember getting my hands on the Alien version of the demo, you start off in a leaky, poorly lit room with a semi-reflective puddle to show off the the neato dynamic water effects which just made my jaw drop) , AvP2 = better SP.

I don't ever remember thinking AVP2 looked cartoony in the least... In fact, it looked rather good for its time. I mean, let's not forget, the thing was released 8 years ago. Not exactly new. I wonder if we're even talking about the same game...
I never could get into AvP 2. There was just something about the use of the LithTech engine that really turned me off. It seemed to work great for the brightly-colored and stylistic Shogo and NOLF. When they tried to do a dark, atmospheric title, it looked terrible, in my opinion. Both Blood 2 and AvP 2 had this cartoony feel to them that really killed the atmosphere. I had a ton of fun playing the original's MP, but the sequel's just felt like a Quake 2 mod. I dunno, I'm probably in the minority in my preference for the original. I blame this post on the Glenlivet. 
Looks pretty damn fun. Hope there's an MP demo/beta
I`ve seen enough already to know it = Rebellions AVP 3 kicks Monoliths AVP 2 in the nads.... alot. lol Rebellion knows what the AVP fans want, and they will deliver the goods.
Gameslaves streaming is like molasses and Worthplaying returns a "not found" error.
EDIT: Looks a lot like multiplayer for AvP II which is a good thing IMO. Lets hope its as fun as Monolith's effort
