Left 4 Dead 2 Release Times Clarified and Demo Patched [Nov 14, 2009, 2:55 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
Steam News has word of a new update for the Left 4 Dead 2 demo that's available the next time you log in to Steam, and a separate announcement says the Steam client has been updated with additional Left 4 Dead 2 support. There's also an update on the Left 4 Dead Blog clarifying exactly when the game will be available next week based on "an ongoing debate in the office and online as to whether '12 AM' means noon or midnight (for the record the answer is midnight). Word is:

• Tuesday, November 17th, 12:00 AM (midnight) Eastern Standard Time
• Monday, November 16th, 9:00 PM Pacific Standard Time
• Monday, November 16th, 10:00 PM Mountain Standard Time
• Monday, November 16th, 11:00 PM Central Standard Time
• Tuesday, November 17th, 12:00 AM (midnight) Eastern Standard Time
• Tuesday, November 17th, 5:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time
• Tuesday, November 17th, 8:00 AM Moscow Time
• Tuesday, November 17th, 2:00 PM Japan Standard Time

Still playing GH3, GH5, RB, and RB2 (haven't even cracked the seal on Hand Hero yet).
Hand Hero sounds a little dirty, Bats. You been shopping at the adult stores again?
I will be at work.....oh well....I will get to play for 10 days in a row (unless Assassin's Creed 2, Borderlands, Dragon Age, or any other new games get in the way) on my days off to burn up my Holiday time that is "use it or lose it".
Still playing GH3, GH5, RB, and RB2 (haven't even cracked the seal on Hand Hero yet). Just touched the tip of the iceberg on those recently. Hands get too tired to play more than 2-3 hours at a time though. Sucks getting old.
Just hope majority of bugs/issues are worked out of L4D2, maybe that 2 day lag of me working will have some updates thrown in.

I feel the same way, except I'm happy sticking with the commercials. I spent my money on 3 copies of L4D. Think I'll save my money this time around. My friends an I lost interest in less than 2 months, and didn't get the support or dlc promised, but we've gotten tons more in 5 months with killing floor for a fraction of the price. I might check it out in a month or two when it's half price.

Maybe on easy mode, but in the demo its certainly not 1 shot, unless he's talking about the melee weapons.
Edit:
One of the character pages talks about the magnum 8 shot pistol being a 1 shot on commons WHEN incapacitated. Because I've used that gun and it was kinda crap (didn't seem much more powerful than the normal pistol), but I never tried it when incapped.

"kill zombies with just 1 shot" What!? is that legit? Is this all weapons excluding pistols? I don't know the the details of L4D2 because I did a media blackout on the game to be surprised. Shit if this is true I'm pissed now, this is game of the year for me:( Until AvP or Lost Planet 2 which ever is out first.
Anyone that thinks 12am is noon needs to go back to kindergarten and learn how to tell time.

Seriously. I can't wait until retail is completely worthless to PC gaming so Steam can finally start releasing games at 12 all the time. Only retail agreements prevent this.
This game is worthless. It's more like an expansion than anything else. I see no real step in technology. Just more of the same. Also, it's ridiculous that you can kill zombies with just 1 shot... I mean unless it's a headshot.
