The NCsoft Quarterly Earnings Page has the company's latest financial report announced on Friday, as well as recordings of the post-earnings conference call with investors. The company admits there will be no major game launches in 2010, and gives a general outline of plans for Guild Wars 2. At about the 21:00 minute mark in the call NCsoft discusses the future of Blade & Soul and Guild Wars 2. "I believe that there will be a certain public event in the year 2010 at this point it could be at least a closed beta test for those titles," says the company. "The commercialization will be expected at this point probably at some time in the year 2011." Thanks Guild Wars 2 Slovenija.

I remember seeing the first preview for this 2 years ago in PC gamer. This game is taking a looooong time.

As long as NCSoft remains true to their pledge of no monthly fees, I am very interested in this "non-MMO" MMORPG.

I'm just surprised they're talking about it as coming out so far in the future, considering people have known for a while that it's in development. Usually you'd expect a known product to come out sooner to try to grab that quick buck.

ArenaNet admitted last year that their original plan was changed in favor of a grander scale GW2. Coincidentally this was decided at the same time, when the Garriot brothers were fired by NCSoft.

..btw. how is Richard Garriot's suit against NCSoft progressing?

they dont admit to it but gw2 was significantly delayed from earlier launch estimates
