developers should more actively participate in the marketing of their games. "I
don’t think any developer should not have control of how their game is presented
or marketed or communicated. And they should take control of that a lot, lot

PC users
exclusively? i seriously doubt that
its fairly safe to say that anyone who supports this game is supporting a decision to give pc gamers the shaft - which doesnt sound very "pc gamer" to me
Yep, there is a reason MW2 peaked at 3rd on Steam's top 10, and has since fallen to 6th.
The only two people I've seen say that so far on Blues have been PC users FYI.

They don't appear to know the gamers who are behind literally hundreds of servers in Call of Duty 4 and World at War titled "Boycott MW2" though. I can't imagine the server hosts are terribly happy about this either and you'll probably see that come out in the form of other future FPS games getting better ad placement and price points.
It's a shame that Treyarch actually seemed to "get it" more than IW did this go around.

I can't say it's much of an achievement to understand the console gamers. As long as there's something to shoot and 80% of the game is cutscenes wrapped up in complete awesomeness.. they're content. (Miller, Perlman. 2009. Inside the Mind of the Gamer, pg. 86)

Given that they consider themselves to be console developers and have previously commented on the rate of piracy on PC copies, this statement actually makes a lot of sense.

I realize its Bowling's job to be the public face of IW and take the ragestorm that results from all the lines the PR department feeds him. But man, have a little pity on the guy. These lines are practically suicidal. Bowling had better avoid any PC LAN parties because he liable to get mugged.
