Borderlands has a pretty good storyline if you do all the side missions (I have -- and it's worth it. They're fun and they expand the story well). It's not Lord of the Rings, but it's certainly good.

Its 7th now. Guess time wasnt relevant.

Even building a bridge to get over it would only lead to more trolls living under it!

Borderlands is essentialy a co-op game that includes a scaled down version to act as the single-player game. The game is about the guns, the co-op, and playing through twice to hit the level cap.

It won't be a defining single-player game nor will it be the most robust single-player game due to it's MMOG-like gameplay (similar enemies, experience grinding, waves of repetitive combat, etc.) and co-op focus. Think of thins like Diablo, Phantay Star Online, etc.

For now, I suspect that I will be passing on the game. Although certainly good fun for co-op, my erratic schedule means I wouldn't be able to play with the majority of my friends (at least not at level.) I guess I can always hop online and join a random game, but that doesn't have the same appeal.

Curious just how good or bad DA:O will be,

Yeah. I'm going to pass on Dragon Age. I have zero (that's 0!) interest in fighting, demonic creepy dudes with boobs. The line has to be drawn somewhever and I think I've found it.

I recommend joining the Charlie Foxtrot tournament and playing on the SPARTA Coop server, with teamspeak.

Naturally, try whatever you like as well. These are just my favourite ARMA2 things.

Bought Arma2(on sale for $25 on Steam)and Downloaded it overnight.
I've seen some game-play viodeos and looking forward to playing it.

I have it on preorder too, though from what I've seen I doubt I'll play it much more than I did L4D. It's gonna be good for a couple of playthroughs with friends, but based on what I've seen/guessed about the skillsystem and weapon drops, I doubt it's going to be much more than that.

It looks like the Dragon Age press tidal wave is working. I have never seen so much hype for a single game, it's just amazing.

I think it is going to be all about the DLC.

In the IGN review they say that the story, while not the best, does have a lot of effort put into it. It's not just a throwaway thing. But the game itself is still oriented more toward action than story.
