I'm a soda fanatic. Luckily, there are lots of places that stock the good stuff here. The Mexican restaurant around the corner carries Coke and Squirt with sugar cane for a quick fix. Galco's Soda Pop Stop and BevMo have pretty much everything else. You can order from those online.

Apparently cost is the real reason Coke uses HFCS in US coke. It's just cheaper. And Coke apparently doesn't like the growing movement of people asking for Coke with cane sugar - which is stupid. Would most people really care about paying and extra five or ten cents more for a bottle of cane sugar Coke?

And don't forget up here in Canada our Coke is still cane sugar coke too. We don't use HFCS in soda - so far as I know - and there are very strict limits on caffeine in pop as well. So next time you come north of the border grab a coke and see if there's a difference.

Soda is also ill-advised for my LPRD, but for cane sugar Coke, I would risk side effects to enjoy one every one in a while.
