The
BeyondUnreal Forums offer downloads of the first public release of
Jailbreak for Unreal Tournament III. Here's an outline of the
Jailbreak teamplay concept for the unfamiliar: "Frag an enemy player, and you
send them to jail. Get them all into jail and they will be executed in all kinds
of crazy ways and your team scores! To avoid being captured, find the release
switch in the enemy base to free your team! Bored in prison? Fight for freedom
in the Arena!" This release includes 11 maps and is localized for English,
German, and Russian. They do warn, however, that this is not the final version,
so we should expect future updates.

Spent a lot of time on Q2 Jailbreak back in the day. I'm also convinced that's where I got all my FPS skills from, you had to be good to compensate for the lag caused by the high ping during those dial-up days!
I'm tempted to install Q2 and that mod again, but haven't a clue if any servers are still up. Anyone try it recently?

I wasted soooo much time on Q2 Jailbreak I am surprised my marriage lasted through it. Now with 4 kids, how will I find the time?!
Q2 Jailbreak was the mofukin shit.. loved that mod, even more than ctf with the grappling hook

Same here. I pissed away a lot of study time playing Jailbreak for Q2. Taunting prisoners gave me so much joy.

Wow, it's about time this concept has been updated. I used to LOVE playing it in Quake 2.
