Raymond to Run Ubisoft Toronto

Gamasutra has word that Jade Raymond will manage day-to-day operations at Ubisoft's recently announced Toronto studio. Raymond, who garners significant attention due to being particularly easy on the eyes, served as producer on Assassin's Creed and is executive producer on the upcoming sequel to the stealth action game. According to Yannis Mallat, CEO of Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto, "I'm excited to have Jade managing our Toronto studio. With more than 12 years of experience in the video game industry, Jade’s knowledge and leadership as an industry veteran are major assets in building the Toronto studio and expanding Ubisoft’s presence in Canada."

Hope she'll do a better job than how she directed AC.

Maybe it's actually harder for her, because people don't take her seriously cuz they think she gets by on her looks?

Oh please. Don't be naive. All pretty people have doors open for them easily. They coast through life without any effort. Doubly so for pretty women.

Would you hire a fat sweaty man who doesn't bath to run your company?

George Broussard is looking for work?

If she was a fat, fugly chick you think she would have got this far? No chance in hell.

Well yeah. Would you hire a fat sweaty man who doesn't bath to run your company? It has nothing to do with ugly, there are plenty of monsters lurking in the gaming industry and many of them are pretty high up the food chain If you're that out of shape you'll need serious experience to advance anywhere. If someone can't take care of their own body, I could not possibly trust them to run day to day operations of an entire company. It has nothing to do with beauty and everything to do with presentation, professionalism and responsibility. Let's face it, we're a discriminatory society. Generally the better you dress and take care of yourself the better and easier your life will be.

She's been in the industry awhile now, she's not a pretty face that happened to get a job. She has the experience and just happens to have a pretty face. Get over it

The uproar all over her was really telling not only of how male-centered this hobby is, but also of how far we have yet to go for being taken seriously as an artistic medium.
