Sell Your StarCraft II Maps

Eurogamer has details on the implications that users will be able to sell custom StarCraft II content though the new Battle.net. Blizzard's Rob Pardo confirms the marketplace will publish both free and premium maps, and "a portion of the revenue" from premium maps will go to their creators. The marketplace will not be part of the new Battle.net launch as to prevent it delaying the release of StarCraft II.

WoW really Blizzard this new Battle Net looks worse and worse. No LAN support, no support for iccup. Only one account, that one must be changed seriosly, and now this marketplace where we have to pay for maps? What's next pay for vods/replays from tournaments? Man you really jumped the micro transaction train.... I do wonder how much of this is Blizzard and really is Activisions way to score a few extra bucks. It is sad really the more I hear about this new service the less I like it.

Edit: Oh and I also don't like the fact that this will really split up the community. As it is now you download the maps through the games you join. I guess that will have to change now and then split the community. Cheap one Blizzard.
