MTV Multiplayer reports Bethesda's Pete Hines tells them a new game
announcement is coming from them in the "next month or so." They probe for
hints, and can eliminate id's and Bethesda's planned iPhone games and Todd
Howard's secretive game from the list of suspects. Feel free to speculate
wildly.

There was a preview of Fallout 3 back when they were previewing Oblivion yet. So I imagine whatever the game is, they've been working on it since before Fallout 3 came out.

I think Fallout 3 Las Vegas was there next one with the same engine so its not F4 or whatever for sure.Fallout: New Vegas is being done by Obsidian, this has already been announced so I can't see they would have an announcement for a game that isn't being done by them.
Didn't they put out a teaser for E3? Seems to me there was some video of an "upcoming Bethesda game" that had no title to it. Regardless, if it's in the scope of their past few titles I'm sure I'll be grabbing it day 1.

If they alternated Elder Scrolls and Fallout into perpetuity I'd be kind of happy.
On the other hand, both those franchises are ones that'll end up stale. There's only so much each can do. Fallout is limited, arguably, by it's number of Vaults, and Elder Scrolls will get repetitive almost equally quickly.
But whatever. I sunk a solid 50 hours into both of those games.

Wish it was Terminator but not related to the movies as Bethesda did in the past. That would be an ass kicker, but no way here.
another open world Terminator game would be pretty sweet.. that whole hunter/hunted mechanic is actually pretty cool when done properly
