Fallout 3 Retail DLC Bundle

A second boxed retail edition of Fallout 3 DLC is expected in stores next week (we guess this makes this SBC, for store-bought content). According to Blend Games this will bundle Broken Steel and Point Lookout much the way a previous retail box bundled Operation Anchorage and The Pitt. There's no word on whether the upcoming Mothership Zeta will also eventually land in stores.

Mods are your friend! FOOK2 just got released and dear God is it awesome!
For now, my rig is so damn old that it won't run "current" games anymore and I just have the gumption to put time into building a new one with all the other shit I've got going on. For now, it's 360 for me, though I've heard many times that the PC is the way to go with these open world games.

Although it's more their new WANK mod that really fucking rules.

FOOK, WANK and DIK.

Someone's having fun with their acronyms.

I put a lot of time into this game, and like many others need to return to it. I am playing through on PC, but have no wants of the DLC. Pay for bs content? No thanks.

Mods rule. The children of Little Lamplight may disagree though; what's left of them.

My character was no diplomat and I was angered, angered I say, to get stuck there. A couple of simple mods solved that and then I had my Jesse Ventura from Predator moment with my trusted minigun.

I'll usually play along with the little shits, but have let my anger run free once, carving all the little bastards up with a rusty steak knife. Especially that mouthy little bitch that guards the back gate. It was very enjoyable to carve her to pieces.

errr...

HOW CAN YOU?! THEY'RE JUST CHILDREN!

It's the sequel to FOOK.

Note that it's in Beta, and currently does NOT play well with any of the other major overhaul mods (MMM, FWE come to mind, though Mart has said he hopes to have a FOIP (compatibility program) out in a week or so ), but it's awesome in and of itself. They've made a ton of changes, added a billion weapons, incorporated some of the most amazing mods out there (such as the incomparable EVE), and it's just brilliant work.

The Fallout3 GotY is showing a release date of October 13 on Amazon. I have Fallout3, but I just started playing it. I was going to play through once without any addons or mods and then pick up the DLC (or SBC) disks until I read that the Mothership Zeta won't be released on disk.

The GotY edition will include Fallout3 and all 5 DLC addons and can be pre-ordered now for $49.99. That's only a few cents more than buying all 5 DLC from GFWL or the two DLC disks and Mothership Zeta from GFWL, and you get Fallout3 again. Even if already have Fallout3 or you do and you don't have any of the DLC yet, IMO the GotY edition is still a better deal just because it will all be bundled together. You can sell, trade or give away your old copy of Fallout3.

Yeah the GotY version is the one to get if you haven't got this already. Actually, if may be the best to go for if you haven't gotten around to any of the DLC yet - it'll probably be about the same (possibly cheaper) price as all the DLC and no mucking about.

Mothership Zeta isn't going to be on any retail disk apart from the GOTY edition. So they're saying now anyway, check fallout wiki.

The GOTY edition with the core game and all 5 DLCs bundled in one package will supposedly be available in October, so if you don't own it at all yet I'd just wait until then.

So far I've logged 50 hours on my latest Fallout 3 save with the core game and all DLCs complete, and I'm still exploring and finding new things to mess around with. On the other hand I was completely uninterested in Oblivion after playing it for about an hour.

Man, I need to get back into this game but there's just SOMETHING about it that is not capturing me like Oblivion did. I'm in that town that is on the battleship and my quest markers don't seem to be set correctly. Maybe I'll stop playing Red Faction and try going back to this when I have an hour to spare.

On a side note, I hope that these games eventually get turned into GameStop or traded so that I can pick up the expansions on the cheap.
