The Old Republic Sith Warrior Q&A

There's a Star Wars: The Old Republic Q&A on GameSpot discussing the Sith Warrior class in BioWare's upcoming MMORPG set a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Since this is the class Darth Vader would fall into it's easy to imagine this will be a popular choice. Here's a bit on the topic from BioWare's James Ohlen: "At E3, we did show off a Sith, and today, we are revealing that the Sith that was shown at E3 was specifically the Sith Warrior. Darth Vader was the primary inspiration for the this character class. The Sith Warrior is a heavily armored Force user driven by darkness and rage. He depends more on overpowering his opponents with martial skills than Force powers but often uses iconic powers, such as [the] Force choke. His story revolves around hunting down and crushing the enemies of the Empire, though sometimes, he is given the task of corrupting--rather than destroying--an enemy."

I really wish news aggregation sites like Blues and Shacknews would stop linking to them.

And make peoples choices for them? Where are we, Fox News?

Has anyone besides CorruptionSpot done a similar interview? I don't follow links to them because:

a) I don't trust anything they say, knowing it's slanted to pleasing their advertisers

b) I don't like giving them any views

I really wish news aggregation sites like Blues and Shacknews would stop linking to them.

Most MMORPGs are now fairly solo-friendly, aren't they? I would imagine Bioware is smart enough to make TOR solo-friendly, since Star Wars nerds are lonely creatures by their very nature.

That said, I'm not looking forward to seeing 99,000 iterations of Sith warriors called "Durth Vaudur!" walking around...

Sounds like it'll be a good solo class. Solo play will be what makes or breaks this for me, I like the idea of mmo's in delivering new content and allowing you to socialise if you want, but I really hate being forced into groups to access content I've paid for. Maybe instances could balance down for a solo player but you get different achievements and less fancy loot to signify that you've not done it "properly"?

Sensible leveling of enemies would be good as well. I remember my Jedi in Galaxies having to flee for his life across the dunes of Tattooine because the Bantha he'd just run into was vastly more deadly than anything he'd previously encountered, for some bizarre reason. Heavily armed warrior monks should not have to flee from beasts of burden.
