The new taskbar is amazing, they ripped off the Dock from OS X yet somehow made it better.

First I'll say that I like Windows 7 and will be installing it on several of my machines.

That said, also owning a Mac... I have to disagree that the Windows 7 Dock is better. Microsoft's Dock + Aero Peek is still light years behind OSX Dock + expose, IMO. ...And Snow Leopard will even have some improvements in that area.

But, I guess it's just a matter of personal preference.

I always hated Macs from the get go. Why the hell would I want to downgrade from a color Apple ][ to a Black and White Mac that didn't have any software? I switched to PC's and never looked back, until 2007 (Intel Macs + Leopard).

So, I'm no Mac evangelist... but my point is, anyone that has actually worked with OSX for more than a short amount of time, and works with Windows all the time, will probably agree that OSX is much more of a rich experience than Microsoft's attempts. MS is getting better though... and Windows 7 shows it.

Does Win7 let you launch apps behind other apps?

I just got a TechNet account through work and I'm using Windows 7 64 bit right now, fantastic and no driver problems. The new taskbar is amazing, they ripped off the Dock from OS X yet somehow made it better. It's a definite improvement overall from Vista. Even dumb things like boot time are down considerably and I like the fact that it throttles startup services so you don't get that crazy 5 minute disk grind before you can even do anything after boot up.

I was wondering if i could buy win7 through a uk store and pay the same price as a person over there?
