Holy letdown!
Darn, I'm sad to hear this as well.
I guess hope is not lost yet. At the very least they're showing some inertia by releasing older titles little by little. First Steam and now Nintendo's Virtual Console.
So assuming they don't just decide to stop all of a sudden, it's possible they'll get to it eventually.
I guess it depends on what marketing and IT tell them. If marketing says they'll probably sell
x copies and IT says it's going to take
$y USD to either make the games compatible or upgrade them then it all comes down to whether they think it's worth it.
I guess the VC copy was a no-brainer for them. It's probably minimal effort (if any) to get an SNES game VC-ready.
