gamers will not be faced with the temptation to buy one of the special editions
of Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward's upcoming military shooter sequel.
Console gamers can expect both a "Harden" edition with a tin case and other
perks, and the oft-discussed/mocked "Prestige" edition with night visions
goggles, but Infinity Ward Community Manager Robert Bowling confirmed for IGN
suspicions that these special editions are for consoles only: "There will be no
PC version of either collectors' editions."
wtf is wrong with you? I see more XBOX rips out there than pirated PC copies. You are JUST PLAIN WRONG.
One factor in this could be that the only thing worth anyting in the "Hardened" edition is the original Call of Duty on Xbox Live Arcade, which of course we all own and is pointless for us.
With that missing the worth of all the special editions would be thrown off, and they would have to find some kind of replacement...
That said, they could just lower the prices $10 for everything and call it even.
Speaking of prices, the REAL issue with CoD6 is that they are so-far charging $60 for the PC version, the first ever time this has happened, and it could set a precedent.

They bring out the high end stuff for consoles because they are great gifts. PC users just buy the bare minimum or pirate it because typically PC games are bought and not given.

As a confirmed CE junkie, I like all the extra paraphernalia .... but at AU$199 ... ahem ... it's a bit rich for me.

Like I have been saying for awhile now in 5+ years if your a PC gamer that means you play casual or indie games. All other "Gamers" will be classified as "console Gamers"......It was fun while it lasted...

I think it's strange that people are saying peripherals like NV goggles are toys for console kids, but are outraged that the PC version of MW2 isn't coming with the same toy.
