Website outlines the latest changes to id Software's free online
first-person shooter, saying: "Included in today's update are some often
requested clientside features and important fixes." They also outline future
plans, saying: "As we continue to work through the remainder of this week our
current focus is geared towards competition and shoutcasting features for
QuakeCon 2009 - to be held this coming August 13-16." Thanks

Well its as fun as you make it, I often find really good people when I play but then challenging them alot with gauntlet results in some lol moments. Very often in a full ffa game certain players that get used to me gauntlet challenging them will put the rocket launcher away..... and it begins. When the victor is found theres a quick exchange of comments and off into the masses we go, its funny to meet these players 2 days later by accident rounding a corner & out comes the gauntlet.....ha ha I like shit like that.

Quake 1 / QuakeWorld is still the best of all the Quakes. Unbalanced, raw, yet 'fun'. The maps were inspiring and the weapons were funny. QuakeLive/Quake 3 are good but they take themselves way too serious -- or at least the players do. Hopefully the next Quake will have 'fun' as a feature. Otherwise,*yawn*.
