$290 million drawing tonight. If I actually had the winning numbers, I doubt that I could surivive the shock of winning.

I wouldn't blame piracy at all. Hell, piracy exists in every single console to date--though some more than others.

Simply put, PC games do generate enough revenue. It is much easier to create a game that works on all systems, tweaking it on the system with the most potential sales, and porting it across the board. I mean, you make one game and make it available to all.

Few people have top of the line PCs because they do not need them. The gaming industry today surpasses the movie industry, not because of PC game sales, but because of the millions of consoles sold at affordable prices (not $2500 systems that are only good for 2-3 years). I'm just thankful developers port shit over to the PC to begin with.

But I'm most thankful for the developers who create the top of the line games, who leave consoles deal with their limitations on their own, companies like Valve and id software.

I wish for an albatross pendant and a wedding guest. But I guess I'll decree a Janet boobie and a Xanadu pleasure-dome.

#25, Dagok, my problem with GameSpy and IGN is that they offer nothing to the community. Their writing stinks; their web pages are clunky and bloated; and well, they're not very personal. They're sterile, and their content is advertisement-based, like television. They worry about demographics and Neilson-like ratings. It's a corporate mindset, and so is this merger.

As for Fileplanet and GameSpy's software, well, I'll just let them speak for themselves. I already pay a monthly bill for bandwidth, and I don't intend on paying Fileplanet a freaking penny. I don't see how charging money for free downloads (under the guise of 'bandwidth is expensive') is helping the gaming industry.

And if the $20 you spent on a piece of software is the best $20 you have ever spent in your life, well, I'll just let that stand on its own.

Does anyone else find the premise and action of this game eerily similar to what the Iraqis are doing on their home soil, fighting their conquerors? Just thought it was funny and not meant to start any sort of political discussion.

I believe that I can speak for everyone and say that we are all here for you, Blue. Each day you make us happy with your content and your musings. We all feel that we know you personally, and when something like this happens, we all feel sad as if you were a real friend. We love you, Blue, and our thoughts are with you.

Hey blue, ran across this site a while ago back when I was trying to figure out what exactly the 'reverse' setting on my ceiling fans accomplished. What the winter setting essentially does is push the hot air from the ceiling down the walls to the floor, circulating the colder air from the floor to the ceiling in the process. Those fans are pretty neat things--I know they save me a bit of money, especially during the night. Anyway, here is the address to that site:
