Those are real drivers driving real race cars in real races. Your average Live for Speed regular might finish mid-pack at the local autocross.

That space treaty must not have said anything about bombing the moon then.

Hey, the moon had it coming.

Don't want to forsake cheap faggots like you who will still be using XP in 3 years when a cryengine 3 game might come out

I see they're keeping rabid consumers like you happy by supporting DX10. Keep buying new operating systems whenever Microsoft rings that bell.

I'd drop Time Warner in a heartbeat if there was real competition in my area. I looked into Uverse, but I would end up paying more for less.

I agee with HoSpanky. That article was pretty bad. Is there a point in getting a better HSF for overclocking -- I'm assuming that was why the author recommended doing away with the stock unit -- if your video card is the bottleneck?

I haven't built a system in five years, but I'm starting to get the itch again so I've been reading the guides Blue posts. This was by far the worst I've read recently.

Seriously, spending $27 for a sound card that will "affect your gaming just a tad" is a poor choice. Sorry guy, a "tad" isn't worth $27 when you're building a $300 machine. You've just blown 10 percent of your budget to duplicate a feature on your motherboard. I'm surprised he didn't include one of those "gaming" NICs.

Don't think of "broadcast standard" as some technical standard. It basically means it looks like crap, which one might expect of the Wii. They used 360 footage because it looks better. By using 360 in-game footage with video of Tiger using the Wii controller, they've created a classic bait-and-switch advertisement.

Edit: To clarify, bait-and-switch isn't the correct term. It's simple misrepresentation.

I continue to worry about my 360, which has died once, but it has a three-year warranty at this point. If it dies, I miss out on a week or two of gaming. It's frustrating, but it's not the end of the world.

As far as the f**ktards on Live, I've found them to be manageable. I make frequent use of the mute feature and occasionally mark players for avoidance. I'm painting with a broad stroke here, but I think for every jerk on Live there are two to three mature gamers. In Call of Duty, that ratio might skew more towards jerks. I've encountered far more mature players in Rock Band 2 and Forza 2, though.

OK Blue, your next step is an opera at the Met. The wife and I saw La Boheme there two years ago and were blown away with how good it was, and neither of us is an opera fan.

I'm glad to see you appreciate fine cinema Blue. I'd go on quoting Frank, but he's got such a dirty mouth.

But I was going to use the "love letter" quote next.

I would strongly encourage the devs to include a perk that gives you two attachments (within reason). Call it "Gadget freak" or something. Put it in the second perk group to force players to make trade offs.

I have a feeling that for HellSlayer, if you're brown with funny eyes, you're probably a "gook." Anything more is too sophisticated.

Hell, until second grade I didn't know there were more countries in Asia than China, Japan and Vietnam. Cut the guy some slack, you know what I'm saying?

I'm having a similar reaction to Call of Duty: World at War. All of my CoD4 friends bought it on release day and haven't been back yet. I'm sorry, but shelling out cash for what feels like a mod (and a rather middling one at that) just doesn't make sense to me. To make matters worse they're not even playing the co-op campaign, just team deathmatch!

Oh, and Gears blows. I played through the first one and was left wondering what all the console kids were so excited about. To hear that the second one is more of the same isn't surprising.

Ok, I've seen some love for Fable 2 on Blue's, but are there any major annoyances/problems with the game? As someone who purchased Black and White, I've earned all of my Molyneux-associated distrust. I just don't want to get hurt again.

Sencho, unfortunately history has proven that the electoral system fails.

President Bush.

Q.E.D.

Do not confuse our electoral system with how elections are run. Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004 were problematic, to put it diplomatically. That said, I think people are more prepared and more willing to fight voter suppression efforts in this election than in the past.

To those bemoaning the lack of a meaningful third party: If you don't vote for a third party, you are denying it the most basic kind of support. Without that support, you'll never see a meaningful third party emerge.

Bats: Can we quote you on the whole socialism in two years deal?

Oddly enough, this iteration of the series reminds of a stinking fish. Actually, it reminds me of the first release of Day of Defeat for Half-Life, but the original Day of Defeat was a little better.

I hope for the sake of all those who plan to purchase it that the multiplayer beta is truly a beta build. Cooperative play or no, I'm not buying this one.
