If we don’t reach our goal or come significantly close we will refund every single penny. We are working on a time frame to achieve.
Notice the "or come significantly close" which doesn't mean a damn thing, typical scumbag bull shit.
And you gotta love the "we are working on a time frame to achieve" statement.

You can't make this shit up.

When you know you have a bunch of gullible suckers that voted for (and still support!) the most obvious con man and bullshitter we've ever seen, you gotta milk that shit.

I think they don't have any concept of the kind of money we're talking about here either.

Best way I saw it explained recently is that if you raised a dollar per second, it would take 11.5 days to reach $1 million.

At that same rate, to reach $1 billion, it would take over 31.5 years.

And that's still (being unrealistically generous to Trump's estimate), only 1/15 of the funding they need.

Can play Warframe on PS4, XBone, and even Switch. I've only been playing for a couple months this time. It confused me the first time I tried it a couple years ago. Now it's pretty great! I'm having a blast, and there's a ton of stuff to do as a new player. Just gotta get through the initial learning curve. YT vids helped with figuring some stuff out.

What's one-sided about it? And what's nonsense about it, for that matter?

Yeah, I'm paying for the no commercials version of Hulu. There damned well better not be any commercials. Sometimes I pause because I want the tv to shut up while I take a call or something. Now I have to pause and mute? Fuck that. I'd cancel in a heartbeat.

There are prophecies that can create 5 and 6-link items, divination cards that create them, as well as crafting recipes (previously Vorici could do it, but now the recipes are unlocked differently). And that's just if you want to farm them yourself.

Most 5-link items are dirt cheap unless they are really good weapons or armors. Even 6-links are pretty easily within reach of pretty casual players at this point. Aside from starting out with a tabula rasa, you can either craft or trade for one without ridiculous expense. They are very rare to drop (aside from tabula), unless you corrupt armorer's strongboxes, which have a much higher chance of droppping corrupted 6-link chest armor. You're stuck with the colors, but they can be pretty good, and if not, then you can still sell for at least a Divine orb, if not more.

I'm just ridiculously happy that they have finally gotten rid of the old Masters system. I really didn't ever want to level them again. Replacing them with full league mechanics is awesome!

Also we get to keep our fucking hideouts now!! One of each tileset even! I might actually bother to decorate mine now!

But RIP stat sticks, and Quill Rain Owell, onward and upward!

Given that the only way to even have the vaguest of ideas of how your data is used, is to spend a ridiculous number of hours trying to read and understand the innumerable, and incredibly lengthy, T&C and privacy policy documents, we can either choose to not use the internet for much of anything, or we give up data that we don't actually know the value of, or how it can legally or illegally be used against us.

The information asymmetry is simply crazy at this point. You either unplug and refuse to participate in the electronic world, or you become a security professional in your spare time to try to begin to understand how to protect your information. And then you'll probably realize that you really can't. Don't want to give up your info? Then you can't have your cancer treated. The power and information imbalance is too great.

Well as far as cancer treatment goes, the data you give to health orgs is actually protected by HIPAA, although health orgs aren't always the most secure companies. But they are trying to improve, and at least they can't release your data without your permission, unlike say Apple, Google, etc.

When they require you to sign away your rights in order to get treatment, that's not really a choice. The second article discusses what you agree to when you undergo treatment, and points out that hospitals are not very interested in negotiating those terms. Your information becomes their information, to profit from in all sorts of ways. You have no real choice but to accept that.

No more fucking masters missions!!!! WOOOHOO!! That alone makes the update the best thing ever!

They've outdone themselves again. This rolls Incursion, a revamped and streamlined Bestiary, and Delve all into the game, along with Betrayal. Completely renovating the master crafting system and turning it into something that looks like far more fun.

I may finally start decorating my hideout now too, since I can finally keep it for next league!

Whole thing looks fantastic. Revamped Atlas as well, which should be a nice shakeup, and the Betrayal stuff looks really interesting!

Yeah, it is for now, although you can play it online as well with the demo decks they've released so far:

https://www.thecrucible.online/

According to Richard Garfield, they're ultimately going to allow you to play your decks online as well, although it seems like that's still being developed, and the Crucible is the best we have so far:

That's the problem with all these card games. It's all about P2W. I like the gameplay of these sorts of games I just can't stand the P2W model.

That's why I've been looking at KeyForge. No deckbuilding, which I don't really want to spend the time on anyway. Just play the decks as they come, and there are mechanics to help balance things as well. Doesn't actually get released until next week I think.

I'm not saying Blizzard is right. They clearly did this wrong. This game is made for, and will appeal primarily to, the Chinese consumer.

But the feedback is just childish. Again, not from you (but absolutely from jdreyer, as always!), but elsewhere.

Childish? People are simply using the mechanisms available to them to lodge their protest against Blizzard's inconceivably stupid and insulting decisions. Obviously nobody should be engaging in death threats or other, similar forms of harassment. But downvoting them? Calling them out for being out of touch with gamers? Sure! That's one way to express their displeasure with them making their shovelware cash-grab the BlizzCon headline.

Oh, and you're far to generous to D3. Aside from the graphics and animation, it was a shitty game at release, and it took them quite a while to get it to a decent state.

LOL. My only complaint about PoE is that the levels reset if you don't return to them fast enough.

PoE is pretty damn good. At least it was the last time I played it. If I had to fault it, it would have to be for very hard to break gear walls at certain levels. I don't know if they made those a bit milder to get through, I haven't played in a quite a while.

It's a lot easier now with all the new crafting options. Can generally make something pretty decent until you find or buy the piece you really need. The current Delve league added fossil crafting, which is pretty cool and useful. The game is in a pretty great spot right now.
