My only concern about this game, aside from balance issues making it less than fun, is whether they're going to make it P2W in any way. If they avoid that, it may have a chance. If any company has shown it can compete in saturated markets, it's Blizzard. That kinda makes me afraid that they may also be one of the few that can get away with P2W. But if it goes that way, I sure won't be playing.

New take on "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" and again no PC release eh?

I think the flood of AI wants/thinks it's human stories is just getting started. It almost seems like it's all I play these days considering the last games I put any time into were Talos Principle and SOMA. Also I really liked that Automata movie last year.

I just watched Ex Machina a few weeks ago. Great movie! Haven't played Talos Principle yet, but I own it and it's probably first up once my Steam Link arrives

I liked JA2. I think Alpha Protocol, despite having pretty bad gameplay sections, did a great job at really tying things together as well. But neither one of those sold well either. :\

I was just going to mention Alpha Protocol. Yeah, there was some weirdness with the mouse control in the hacking parts and a few other missteps, but I finished that game 3 times. In a row. I **NEVER** do that. I'm like the others here that never finished Skyrim or Oblivion. I only finished FO:NV once, and I think that's mainly because I was home sick for a few days.

If they'd managed to work a few bugs out before release instead of in patches later, I think Alpha Protocol would have done a lot better in sales. It's really a great game and I'd love to see another one like it.

Interesting article on a lot of levels. However, seeing a pedestrians always have the right of way then the vehicle must be programmed to risk the passengers instead. The needs of the many and all that.
If a car is headed towards a pack of pedestrians at unstoppable speed, then someone fucked up. I sure as hell wouldn't buy a car that might decide to sacrifice me, even if whatever happened wasn't my fault. This is definitely going to be some hellishly complex stuff to deal with. I don't envy the people who have to figure this stuff out.

In the end, I wonder if we'll even know how the cars are really programmed though. Look at VW. They successfully resisted attempts to gain access to their software by experts wanting to vet it. Of course now we see they had a pretty good reason (to them, not us) to want to avoid that. I suspect the situation would be much the same if people wanted to know how these self-driving cars are programmed to behave.

Wasn't there some concern that this would be pay to win? Maybe I'm remembering wrong. As long as they offer SP, I'm good.
They scrapped their microtransaction plans after fans complained loudly, so looks like that issue is taken care of. Not sure if it was ever going to be P2W, but apparently people didn't even want microtransaction skins and such.

I wouldn't want to play JC2 on a console. Being able to accurately aim the grappling hook is way too important. Nothing beats a mouse for that. Really looking forward to JC3 now

Lindsey Lohan, so smart she doesn't realize that she won't be eligible for multiple reasons, including felony convictions and age.
Well, she is talking about 2020, but yeah even for the Jan 20, 2021 inauguration she would be just shy -- born July 2 1986 according to Wikipedia.

I have to admit though, I didn't know there was a law preventing federal elected service for felons. Assuming you're correct, it's not terribly surprising, I just didn't have actual knowledge of an existing law.

There is no law I am aware of, but good luck getting anybody to back you with that felony on your record.

Then again, this is America. Hillary is basically running on an "elect the first woman president" platform, so what the fuck do I know.

Being one of the only ones running that actually seems sane is a rather nice boon for her as well. She mostly just has to wait out the GOP crowd and see what's left standing over there, and then beat them to death with their own words during the primary.

On the other hand, that's a strategy so simple that only a Democrat could fuck it up.

If you think Hillary sounds sane...well, you are beyond my ability to convince you of anything.

Seems like that's more attributable to your abilities than anything about me Unless you're aware of some particularly crazy shit she's said or done, I think the reams of crazy coming from the other folks has her soundly beat in that department.

Hope they ship mine soon. I'm sure there will be some issues, but I think it'll do what I need it to do. It's basically a replacement for dragging my PC across the house so that I can play some fairly casual games on the couch with my wife. I've got a wired connection there, so hopefully it'll be work well enough.

For most games I couldn't care less about whether the sound is 5.1 or not. I'll mostly be playing casual games on my couch anyway. Anything more involved than that and I'd rather be on my PC with a mouse/keyboard.

I loaded the game up last night. Spent a good hour or so looking at the attributes and skills to try to figure out how to build a good team. Still haven't figured out how to do that. From what I've heard, the game can be pretty hard on you if you screw up when creating your initial team. I'm not sure what skills will be most necessary, or how many points are needed in which attributes for each character.

I specialized each player with different weapon skills (people who joined late were trained in Assault/Sniper rifles due to power/abundance later in game) and usually different extra skills. Only as you add players to your party later in the game should you let them have the same weapon skills. That way you can take advantage of the weapons you find, aren't left with a rifle/pistol/etc... specialist who cant hit anything with a shotgun point blank cause that's all you have left for him to use. That and you'll be able to do everything, disarm, unlock locked items, hack computers, heal, revive etc... Provided you don't let them die.

Later in the game weapons are so abundant you can use/specialize according to damage as opposed to how often you'll see that type of weapon.

With my party, 1 guy lead with high perception, spotting traps, and a trap-disarmer followed, back up by rifles behind them in case we got ambushed. Really helped to spread out skills, you could basically do every 'action' in the world requiring higher ranked skills. I think the game made it easy to pass all skill checks if you spread out your skills (although losing a party member can sting at that point).

Thanks! That info helped. I started a new game and created a team. Did ok for the first few encounters, and then got my ass handed to me by a pack of gila monsters Those things are pretty fast and hard to kill. I have a melee guy, a leader type with shotgun skills, an AR guy and a sniper. I managed to kill 2 out of 5 of the gila monsters before they were poisoning and killing my dudes. Guess I need to learn better tactics or something.

People dumb enough to pre-order or buy before reviews are out should be grateful. Everyone else should wait til it's $10 or less. Maybe eventually publishers will learn not to release broken shit.

Let's see... 2 awesome Bat games by Rocksteady gave no indication that the 3rd would be a clusterfuck in porting to the PC.
There was no reason not to pre-order it. Plus it was fucking cheap as hell (20 bucks)
PC ports are always a gamble. Sometimes you're gonna lose.
