"Set in Somalia in 1993, Delta Force - Black Hawk Down is based upon and around the Operation Restore Hope and Task Force Ranger campaigns and follows members of the elite Delta Force, U.S. Army Rangers, 10th Mountain Division and the Night Stalkers as they participate in a number of daring raids against the oppressive Somali warlords in and around Mogadishu."

I think they forgot "And lose." at the end of the game blurb.

Uh. Yeah. Look into using periods: I think it'll help.

I got to level 30-something in about a week. The game is an excellent Space-Fed-Ex trainer, but that's about it: it isn't terribly different from other MMORPGs. It is quite pretty, though: and get used to the view, I'd say that a good 40% of my time in the game was warping through pretty space visuals.

I cancelled my DAOC account a month or so back, unfortunately. I liked the theme, but the game was a little too boring for me. I might return for this, though.

Can anyone suggest any good SP modules for NWN? I'm getting the hankering to play again...

A MMORPG that takes place in a land where spelling is optional, I guess. Man, that name is more stupid than Divine Divinity.

I actually just don't see the appeal at all, myself. THe episodes I've seen just haven't ever impressed me. I know I'm the minority, but I've always considered it a rather mediocre show.

Haven't yet played too much of it, but it really seems as I feared: a more dumbed down version of the previous games. It won't appear to the StarFleet Battles crowd due to its simplicity, and it won't appeal to the average Star Trek gamer due to its complexity. It'll be interesting to see how it sells.

That's not to say that the game isn't fun: I am enjoying it, just that I'm not playing it like I played II (which was all the time).

Man, just when I think I've bought all the games I want this year...

I loved the previous two games. Just hope they haven't dumbed this one down for the masses.

I played Earth and Beyond for a couple of weeks, but I got too bored with it. It's a great Space UPS simulator, but I can't find a reason to pay money for it.

Even worse is that he appeared to be using the default screen setup. Jeez, if you've played the game for 3 years, yet still use the default screen setup, you are a loser.

The Rare that Microsoft is buying is not the same Rare that produced Blast Corp, Starfox, or any other decent game. They are getting the emaciated skeleton of Rare. This was a great move for Nintendo: they got their last game out of Rare (the surefire hit Starfox), and $375 mil. Excellent deal.

Rare will go on to produce lackluster games for Microsoft, and the Xbox will hang around, painfully dying for the next few years. Microsoft really needs something big on the Xbox. Nintendo can mine gold from mediocre titles like Mario Sunshine, and the PS2's installed base is so great that it doesn't matter what they do: the Xbox is in real trouble as a system. It is unpopular in Japan, and the game lineup is rather lame.

If Rare can help, then the 375 mil is a bargain. However, I tend to see it as MS throwing good money after bad.

The Xbox really needs some solid games, and Rare can help with that, I would hope. The Xbox line up has been extremely lackluster (well, to me) so anything would help.

Guess it is time for Unreal Tournament 2004 speculation. I am guessing it won't come out until 2005.

Actually, with Mozilla, you can selectively allow popups that you request to open (i.e. popups that you click on). I gotta say, between Mozilla and Opera, I'm not using IE except at work.

Actually, with Opera or Mozilla, popups are much easier to deal with, too.
