Seems as if Ubi has decided to emulate Funcom rather than Mythic: it doesn't matter if you create the best game ever, if your account activation mechanism doesn't work.

Let's see: it takes 4-5 steps through graphic heavy pages on a secure server. They should eliminate the graphics and combine the steps into 1-2 pages. For starters.

Secondly, you really should NOT be able to enter all your info, but at the last step be unable to complete the activations. That's just dumb.

When AO first came out, it took me over a day before I saw the game world: Shadowbane has about 20 hours to go before it takes the crown of "Worst MMORPG Launch Ever."

Too bad, too: a friend of mine who was able to sign up says the game is rather fun.

I STILL think they need to put "And lose." as the last sentence of the marketing blurb.

"she's not reacting well to a recent change in her dry food"

If possible, always keep a small bag of your dogs normal food around: then you can mix it with any new food you get to soften the blow to your dog's stomach.

A couple of my dogs just barf like drunken frat boys when we change their food, though, regardless of the steps taken (i.e. mixing old and new in various percentages, etc).

The problem with snowblowers is that you may only need it once a year, perhaps twice. The more logical solution would be to band together with a few neighbors and either buy a "community" snowblower or hire a service.

I still enjoy the shovel method, though, most of the time. Takes longer, but you get more exercise.

Whatever happened to roving bands of kids wanting to make a little money shoveling drives and walkways? I'd gladly shell out some money for that.

"Funcom has announced that they are reactivating cancelled Anarchy Online accounts to allow former subscribers to check out the Notum Wars booster pack..."

I'd rather gouge my eyes out with an ice pick. I'd do that in AO, but the lag would prevent me from hitting my eyes. I'd probably hit my ears.

And before everyone says how much the game has improved: it's too late.

More like Hasslehoff in old Nick Fury TV movie. Nice try, though.

IE would take 30 seconds to load, if it had to do it from scratch, as Netscape and Mozilla have to.

There are advantages to loading your browser while loading the OS, ya know.

Instead of talking about this game incessantly, it would be better to actually finish and release it.

Will there be a soccer Mom mode, where a family buys a Humvee for completely inappropriate uses? Maybe this could tie into some vitual tax payer software so that your sims could get a $38,000 tax break.

I didn't catch the dog show last night, but is Joe Garagiola really gone? I sort of have mixed feelings: he was terrible, didn't have any dog knowledge and frequently flubbed/made amusing inappropriate comments.

On the plus side, though: he was terrible, didn't have any dog knowledge and frequently flubbed/made amusing inappropriate comments.

"frightfully similar to the satire presented in Best in Show"

Uh, yeah. That's because the Best in Show people watched the Westminster show and based the movie on it, in ways. There's no way Fred Willard could have come up with the Garagiola impression independently.

I love watching Westminster, though, even if the Dachshunds never win.

Sims Online isn't doing as well as expected. What a big surprise: the last thing I want to do to relax is come home and play a game that pretty much simulates what someone does during the day. Eat. Sleep. Chat. Sheesh, I can do those things for real.

I'd much rather play a fantasy online game, like EQ or DAOC. In fact, tonight, I'll probably play EQ. Oh, wait, I think I forgot to get food for my character...

I must be brain-damaged, because I just can't get my Audigy 2 hooked up to my Yamaha TSS-1 speakers. So it's sitting on a table, while a much cheaper Hercules 7.1 card hooked up via digital optical works fine.

Anyone know how to get the Audigy 2 (not platinum) connector to hook up to a digital optical in?

All I could think when reading this was "Hmm, obviously, he attacked Diablo and lost."
