Just face it, UT2K4 is more and more like T2. Sure, there's some choppiness, and it seems fast, but BF1942 has bugs when it first came out.
And yes, there has been a draught of real FPS games.
Sure, there's alot of FPSWW2 games out there, but I like the future ones better.

I play T2 every night. T:V will have a "feel" of UT2K4 since they're using the same engine. You can already see it in the grass and sky.
T2 is great, but lately, it's getting to be the same. There aren't many full servers left. There's HV and a few Gamesurf.De Katabatic servers.

Cliffy is in the Irc channel. That text is going to be comedy gold when they finally release it.
The DVD edition looks good. At least it will give fans something to do for hours on end making their own maps and messing around with the bots.
6 cds. All I can say about that is Wow. 5.5 gigs for the install, again, wow. I don't know how they're going to warez this one.

There needs to be a new category for FPS shooter games that are WW2 based, and those that are not.
I'll just start calling them FPSWW2 for WW2, and games like UT2K5, HL2, D3, and T:V will stay as FPS.
Awards will be seperated by FPS and FPSWW2 for game of the year and competitions.
At least teh UT2K5 is due out within two days.

Yeah, it's amazing how we track games by how many E3s they've been too.
HL2 almost seemed done last year, with the movies and all the screen shots. And here we are at another E3, it won't even be done. Heck, they midas well just release on September 28th and make it 1 year late.
Same for D3, this will mark their 3rd E3. And at the first one they had somethat that was working. Guess what they say is true about the last 1% of the game taking the longest to finish.

I like all the complicated stuff in T2. There is always something different to do. If I don't feel like capping, I set up turrets and sensors. It's not that hard.
On vehicles, if they spawn at random points and times, it will be like BF1942, where everyone waits by the airplanes. At least in T2, if you wait in line, you will eventually get your vehicle.

Winamp 5 is no problem to download. It will make itself the default player for all your files. The press conference is ok, lots of game play to see. Still a long way to go, but at least they have something for E3.

Looks like the e-mails worked. I mean, Win2K was brought in as a replacement for NT, which is really a server OS. And that's why people didn't switch.
MS needs to upgrade Intelipoint 5.0 to work with Win98. I bought two wireless keyboards/mouse as presents for my parents, and had to take them back.

Went to buy new keyboards for my parents, wireless with the tilt wheel. Open one, try to install Intellipoint 5.0, no way, says it won't work. Look on box, only supports Win2K and XP. Took keyboards back to store and got my money back.
Here's the problem.
When Win2K came out, it was thought of as a server OS. Many didn't upgrade, because sites like FS did benchmarks and said there was no differance. So I didn't upgrade, and my parent's machines are still running win98.
